Pro-Kil Professional Exterminators

Services

We offer a wide variety of services in order to meet almost any pest control need.  Please check out our service packages and descriptions below for more information!
General Spray Service:

  • The general spray service is our basic pest control package.  This service is used for the elimination and control of a large variety of insects.

  • For the general spray service, a technician will treat the exterior of your house (around the base of house, under eves, corners of windows and doors, under window ledges) with a liquid insecticide product in order to prevent insects from entering from the outside, or nesting on the outside of your house or place of business.

  • The technician will also do a liquid treatment inside the premises.  The technician will treat along the baseboards of the entire inside, and fan treat the sole-plate area in unfinished basements.  This kills the existing problem, and prevents new activity from starting.

Carpenter Ant Service:

  • The carpenter ant service is similar to the general spray service, however it involves a more intense and specific approach, in order to eliminate the source of the problem.  This is important, because if the colony is left in tact, the structural damage to your property can be extensive.

  • The technician will do a full liquid treatment of the exterior of your house, as well as inspect for crevices that ants could be traveling in and out of.  Any space that we see they are traveling through, or nesting in we inject an insecticide dust that coats the cavity.  We also inspect and treat any nearby trees and/or landscaping timber.

  • We we also do a full liquid treatment inside, as well as dust areas where ants are entering wall voids, behind counter tops, around pipe chases, around dishwashers, behind bathtubs, and any other common place of carpenter ant infestation.

Termite Service:

  • The termites found in south western PA are subterranean termites, which means they nest underground.  For this reason we use a baiting system to eliminate termite colonies

  •  Our baiting system approach is three-fold:

  1. Install termite stations around the entire perimeter of affected  building. (Stations are installed in the ground, with a low profile above ground for ease in  mowing and trimming, the station has wooden "interceptors" in it, when wood becomes moist it begins to attract termites.)
  2. We return one month from termite install to check for termite activity, any stations that show activity are filled with a paper towel like material that contains the termite specific insecticide.  They in turn take this bait to their colony.
  3. We return every 3 months to check stations for new activity, and to re-bait stations that need it.

  • There is one fee for the install, and that covers you for the entire calendar year, upon the anniversary date if you so choose, there is a $300.00 charge to keep the system up and running for the next year.  Upkeep on the system is suggested, because re-infestation can occur if there are other colonies near by.

Rodent Control Service:

  • Our rodent control service includes mice and rats. (For other issues such as moles, squirrels/chipmunks, and bats more involved exclusion work may be necessary.
  1. Step one in our rodent control service is identifying the pest, and beginning the exclusion and baiting process.  We inspect the exterior of your home or business building, looking for any gaps that are accessible to mice or rats, and inject an expanding foam to fill these voids.  We then place rodent stations inside and outside the building.  These stations act as monitors, and are filled with multiple bait blocks.
  2. Stage two is the monitoring stage, after 2 weeks we return to the premises, replace any bait blocks as needed, and fill any remaining or new voids along the building.  We continue this process until the problem is eliminated or until the warranty has expired.

Wasp and Hornet Prevention:

  • Our wasp and hornet prevention service includes elimination of existing nests, and provides protection from future nests for a full 90 days.
  • We first inspect the building for any existing nests, and then proceed to apply a liquid insecticide barrier along the eves of your house, in the corner of doors and windows, along shutters, under window sills, and in any other place suitable for sustained flying insect activity.

Bat Exclusion/Prevention:

  • Bat exclusion can be a very involved process.  We begin by locating the area or areas where there is or has been bat activity. (We can only exclude places where the bats are entering the structure.)
  • Once the area(s) has been identified, we seal the area with an expanding foam material, sealing the void from the outside, and leave a small space open for the bats to enter and exit the building.
  • In the aforementioned area, we construct a one-way door from a wire mesh material.  The one way door allows the remaining bats to escape the building without permitting them back inside.  This ensures that there are no bats left in the attic, which could in turn lead to the bats entering the living space, searching for an escape.
  • In the weeks following, we will return to the premises to remove the one way door, and seal the space that we allowed for the one way door.
